    Vent...

Ok. So this Monday has been crap thus far.

#1... The Play Date. I have 3 children, 3, 5, & 7. Neighbors are always asking for play dates with my little ones, and I really appreciate it. Sometimes it's a bit difficult for me to split them up. The 5 & 7 yr. old are both friends with this person, but he'll ask for 1 and not the other often. He asked last night and I agreed to let the 1 go. (another play date was already in the works for the 5 yr. old). Well, the neighbor bailed on the 7 yr. old leaving him really upset

#2 ... my teacher DCP wanted to drop off the contract for this year and take my 5 yr. old to the park. Great!! Only, there were too many bees so she came back to my house with her two kids and offered to keep them outside - but unfortunately that meant her kids went through my garage and took all my kids toys out to play with them and neglected to clean them up. Why couldn't I do anything (3 bikes, 2 scooters, dumped chalk, dumped 10 little tikes golf clubs with balls and equipment, and much much more in 10 mins. ... see #3 & 4

#3... POOP my 3.5 yr old potty training DCB holds all his poop for me (lucky me!) and EXPLODED leaving a poop trail on my stairs

#4... the screamer baby of 6 months old is here and just woke up for this chaos, of course screaming uncontrollably.

    I'm ready for a nap!!

That does sound really exhausting. A few thoughts.....

    1. my 3 and 4 year old girls are a package deal. Neighbors, friends, etc. cannot invite just one of them. That is my own personal rule to avoid fights between them, favortism and whatnot. If someone bailed on a playdate, it would be a long time before i agreed to another.

    2. I NEVER let any kids (even relatives and their kids) play at my house if I am not right there supervising in some form. I dont clean up after people, allow random drop ins or anything else that just causes more work for me. I have had multiple complaints, especially from relatives, about my rule but too bad, not going to change my mind.
