happyfacelovethis Enjoy your day! It sounds wonderful!

I woke up with a nasty headache. It's going to be an interesting day, to say the least...

edit: and actually I just decided that I'm making it a super easy-for-me day. As soon as breakfast is over (and the upstairs tidied up and some dishes done :P) I'm taking the laptop with me downstairs to do some work while the kids play and I'm going to put on the Olympics. The kids will get to play or watch with me or whatever.

I have had a light summer. I usually have 12 kids but have had no more than 4 at a time all summer due to a large graduating class this year and a large number of teachers kids. It has been hard to keep them from getting bored. This week we are doing an Olympics theme to change it up some. Cut out the rings from construction paper and hung the up over the weekend. Today we are going to make torches and flags. Then the rest of the week we will do different events and they will all get medals on Friday.

          Sounds awesome!
You can do relay races with the kids, that would be really fun.
Long jump in the sand at the park, etc.

We have been watching the Olympics pretty closely here! TWO of my daycare parents are Olympians and and are competing! We are sooooooo excited!!

This isn't the first Olympics either of them have competed in. Dad competes for US and mom competes with the Czech Republic. They actually met at the Olympic games in Greece in the 2008 Olympics.

Dad has competed in Olympics in 2004, 2008 and again this year. Mom competed in 2008 and 2012. Both are medal winners!!

Their daughter, Julie is one of the best kids I have ever had in care!

Awesome!!! Good for you! It will be wonderful spending the day as just mommy and daughter!

I have all my kiddos today, but we're off to a great start and everyone's in a good mood. We're just heading out to the park here right away.
