G-Diapers? Anyone Have Experience With Them?

I start my new family on Monday happyface

They have twin baby infants (going on 4 months old) and will be using the G-Diapers. I have never even heard of them. Apparently they are a cross between a cloth diaper and a disposable one.

    Can anyone help me?!?

    Thanks!

Do you know if they'll be using disposable inserts or the cloth ones?

The g-diapers are basically a cotton cover with a plastic liner snapped to it. You put inserts into the liner and put it on the baby using the velcro (the velcro goes on the back). During diaper changes, you just need to either throw the disposable insert away and put a new one in, or you put the cloth one in a bag and put a new one in.

Here's the website with videos on them. http://www.gdiapers.com/environmenta...tch-the-videos
Very easy to use. I bet you'll get the hang of it by the first day.

yes, VERY easy to use! should be no huge issue. make sure the parents bring enough covers and inserts to last the babies for one full day, they should send an extra cover for each baby in case of diaper explosions or whatever. Also have them send a zippered wet bag which is a waterproof lined bag to put in any soiled covers or inserts (if the inserts arent disposable) and send home the dirties every day. the bag should be stink proof too so if you are having stink issues, it may be from a bag that is no longer doing its job!

One of our dcks used them last year. They were very easy! I liked them more than I thought I would. We put a separate hands free trash bin by the table specifically for him. All the inserts went in the "trash can" and mom took them home to wash.

I used G-diapers for my DS for a long time, they're sooooooo cute baby doesn't even need any bottoms on! And as far as changes you'll probably be confused and frustrated for the first couple changes and after that you'll learn to love them.

I've only used them with the reusable inserts. I liked them. But, I've never tried the disposable inserts.

I just started watching a little guy in May who uses them with the disposable inserts and I find them easy to use. They only thing I find is that if he has a "bm" it always gets on the liner and it's a bit messy. That is the only down fall really.
              Best of luck!

I use them and love them. I love covers and trifolded prefolds more, but g-diapers are great as well. Easy peasy. Reusable inserts (trifolded prefolds) work great in them.
