    Down One Child

Two weeks ago DCM came in with sippie cups for her child and told me that I will start using them for her son (16mo) even though she signed my contract stating no sippies or toys from home. Uhmmm…NO.

She walked in this morning with a bag of sippie cups and asked: " So what's the deal with the sippies?" Uhmmm….still NO. "Well he won't be here any more, I can't have him sick all the time." and walked out the door." He was the first child to start with our bout of HF&M so technically he contaminated everyone else.

Seems that my washing them in the dishwasher is unsanitary and she does not want him using cups that other children have used. When asked if she was planning on bringing in his flatware and toys that he mouthes she got quite huffy. I'm the second daycare in four months, poor baby, he just gets attached and she yanks him out. No continuity of care. Ought to make for great relationships in the future.

Now I get to deal with collecting $$$ she owes and the state will probably show. They always do when a parent is owing me $$$.
    I see little people.

ACK! The poor baby. I always wonder how many providers parents like this have to go through before they get that the problem is them and not the provider. I had a parent leave me over something silly once and 3 months later call me begging for their spot back..they had blown through 3 daycares in that 3 months and she finally realized how lucky she had it with me. No, I did not accept her back.
