    My Heart Just Sank!!!!

Just finished feeding DCG and I hear a soft knock at the door. I look out the peephole expecting to see a DCP and instead its a guy in a military uniform. I say be right there and ran to get my dogs outside because they were barking and its naptime. On my way to the patio door my mind is racing and I'm thinking "Omg something happened to my husband!"... Then I think "No silly girl he is stateside and probably at work reading a book waiting to catch the jets. You JUST talked to him a few hours ago!!!"

My hands were shaking my heart was pounding and I opened the door and he greeted me with a smile and I relaxed a little. Turns out he was looking for an Airman that used to live here when he got back from overseas until he was settled elsewhere.

Whew!!! Heart still pounding. And breathe..

Thank goodness indeed! He always says "I need my sleep so I don't fall off the top of a jet tomorrow..." I was like Omg he did!! Ahh! I texted him right after and sure enough he was reading his book waiting for jets to land .

AAAHHHH Breezy! You poor thing=breathe slowly to calm your lovethis down!

What a scare for you girlie!

Thats like the other night someone was pounding at our door in the middle of the night. My first though was "This is an emergency, why am I the only one waking up?". Turned out to be my daughter-she forgot her key after going to the midnight showing of the new batman movie. Im thankful I didn't know about the Colorado shooting at that time or I would have been in full panic. The sad thing is her brother was asleep on the couch right by the door and didn't even move!!!!

I hate it when that happens! When husband was at training for this past deployment, I was 30 weeks pregnant. A soldier of his came to our house to check on me (at his request, I didn't know the guy) and I saw him through the peep hole and about crapped my pants. After everything was straightened out I had contractions like crazy.... They sent my husband home a few days later because I kept having contractions.

Now any time a soldier comes to my door I tell myself, "They usually come in pairs...they usually come in pairs" to keep myself from wigging out.

Ahhhh...that was always my biggest fear when dh was deployed. He wasn't deployed with a unit here in town or our own state for that matter, but that's a whole other issue. Anyway, no one else from his unit deployed, so they still had drill weekend. Well one night the kids and I where cuddled up on the couch watching a movie and 3 of his buddies decided to stop over after drill to check up on us. I saw them through the curtains and quickly paused the movie and told the kids to go play. So not cool. Call me first! Glad everything is ok!
