School Age Activities

i have about 30 school agers from 5 yrs old to 11 and my school age teachers are having a hard time with doing things with them. The kids get bored and start doing things they dont need to do. Any suggestions on how you all do it.

when the child say they are borried then what happens?

Are they told I know you no longer find this activity exciting but you must stay with the group you may participate or seat down and do nothing. no phone, or other eletronic devices, no sitting close enougph to touch others and no talking because that would distrupte the group.

Are tehy allowed to do as they whant because they are bored.

In a school age room I would have several areas set up to choose from such as a game center, art/craft center, screen time area with computer games, book area with bean bags for relaxing, homework station. Rotate kids outside if possible. If you have 2 teachers have one take 15 outside while the other has 15 inside and then rotate. That way all kids aren't cramped together. Just some ideas.
