    OT - Beverly Hills Nanny

Has anyone seen the show? Thoughts?

I saw it last night. My main thought was how many hours per week at $40 per hour is she required to work? If it's just 40 hours, that's already $1600 per week!

Haven't watched it, not sure if I will. I'm really not into another "Drama" show. I'm actually getting more and more away from tv as I don't hear most of the show with all the bleeping they have to do!

I watched it too. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I didn't like that all the nannies were new to the families and it sounded like they jumped around a lot. I thought they would be more perminate live-in types.

I set it to record each time so maybe I will keep watching....esp since I will have to missing my Teen Mom

i watched it and found the moms to be annoying. The nannies themselves all seemed like a decent sort except for that one friend that was a total lush on the show.

As for the nannies hopping around, we all know daycare-hopping moms so I dont know why this would be surprising from the nannies. They are all young and probably moving, in and out of school and other life transitions that wouldnt make them a permanent fixture in the home.

I also thought the changing around was porbably due to the crazy demands/requests of the rich parents. It did show a clip if the nanny(the one starting her own referal) having a disagrement with the Mom the other three nannies interviewed with.

I was jsut hoping we would get to 'know' the families a little more. Maybe we will? I was kinda more curious how the kids were than adults. I will watch a few more episodes....

It caught my interest. The one "manny" seemed to be doing more pet-nannying than caring for the baby. I also figured there would be more stability and bonding with one family instead of jumping around from family to family. And it really annoyed me when they referred to themselves as the latest fashion accessory like the little dogs were last year. $40 per hour would be awesome but I don't think I'd be cut out for all that drama.

Watched 5 minutes before my dinner started coming up. Blech. I like $$$ as much as the next person, I don't begrudge those families for being wealthy, good for them. But to put it on tv and shove it down Americans throats, when so many are out of work, in foreclosure, struggling to eat, etc, just seems disgusting. I don't mind wealth, but conspicuous consumption and the "bow to me, peasants" attitude makes me vomit. Its not just that show, there are many like it.
