    Crying at Pick-up

My new little girl (2 1/2) comes running through the door every morning. She's so happy to come. But pick-ups are another matter. She cries and screams everyday, regardless of who picks her up. She just doesn't want to leave.

We've all tried everything we could think of to make the transition easier for her, but nothing works.

    Any ideas?

    Time.

2.5 is a rough age for transitions. It'll ease up with time.
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

Have you tried getting her ready by telling her 30 or 45 minutes before time to leave. Remind her every few minutes that Mom will be here soon and it will be time to go home and play with mom and dad, or whatever excitement you can tell her about.

        Yes, I second this.

At pick up time, I pick the child up, give them a hug, tell them I will see them in the morning, and hand them over. It's usually just sadness by that point then instead of full on tears.

        Poor little guys.
