So I have 3 interviews set up this week. I had 4 but the one decided that I lived too far away which was 23 minutes so it was kind of far for her to drive. I just had one interview, they told me right there that they want there infant son to come here
They live 3 minutes down the road. I am very excited because this will be my FIRST full time child in the 3.5 years I have been doing this. Both parents are school teachers.
I have a second interview with one family on Saturday because the Father was not able to meet the me the first time when the mom and child came so I am thinking I have that one too which is 4 days a week.
Another family needs child care 5 days a week 7:45-5:15. The mother is due with the baby in September. They want to set up an interview this week( we are playing phone tag)
This is CRAZY!!But I am so HAPPY! I have never had so many people wanting interviews in one month let alone just in a week...
Well here comes the difficult part. If I get the child from the last two interviews, they are 4-5 days a week. I think I am going to have to get rid of one of my part time children if I get all three of these children. I became friends with one of my part time moms but her college schedule changes every semester so I am wondering if she would be able to work around it by changing her classes for Spring Semester(January). Another part timer has been with be since she was 10 months old( almost 4), only comes 2-3 days a week, but since her aunt and grandma are in the education field, they watch her in the summer and I don't get paid but I keep her spot. I would REALLY miss this little girl, I have grown so attached to her but her parents don't go by my contract with the having grandma and aunt watch her in the summer 2 days and me getting one day. In my contract it says you ONLY don't have to pay if YOU are in the school district and are on summer break, not a relative. Me being me though I haven't spoken up about it. And then she is taking the last two weeks off of July and I am not getting paid... If I get all three of these kids, I will have spots on Mondays and Fridays only so I am not sure if that will work for them since their days change weekly.
I also have another mom due with her second child in February and is taking 6 or 12 weeks off, I am not sure.
I feel like I am going to get ahead of myself because I have never had so many people want me at one time
...I know I just need to wait and see If I get the other two for sure but I am always looking ahead. What to do, What to do. We are also probably going to start trying for a baby within the next 4-6 months so I don't want to have too many children to not be able to give my child the attention they need....Anyone been in this situation?
