    Licensing Taking Forever!

I was operating legally unregistered and filed for licensing back in March. They disallowed the training I submitted and gave me 60 working days to take new training courses. They weren't offered until near the end of the 60 days, but I completed them and sent the new paperwork in before the deadline, which was last month. I let the licensor know I had completed it and faxed the documents in so I know she got them. I have made two followup call and not heard anything yet.

I am getting frustrated - they denied the training simply because it was not completed in this city and I have now had to pay for the same training twice, plus coverage for daycare twice and still no license

Sorry the hear that! All the training I needed was free and once you're licensed you actually have a few weeks to complete it. The only thing we need before hand is cpr/first aid. I would say no matter how long it takes, just make sure to be nice to your licensor because half of this stuff is legal paperwork. It's not the best part of their job. Be friends with your licensor because you'll be working with that person for a long while.

Is there anybody else in the dept. that you can call? Id hate for you to be waiting around for someone that is one vacation or something.....call the general number and tell them you have tried to reach so-and-so with no response...is she in the office? does she have an assistant? is there anyone else you can talk to?
