4th of July Craft

We did this craft today...they turned out really nice.

I really TRIED to make sure the stars and stripes were in the right place, but with two-year-olds (the two-year-old teacher liked it so much she wanted to do as a joint thing) doing it themselves, a couple of their hands were going the wrong way. By the time I realized it, the glue on the popsicle stick was dry.

Thankfully, we have no military families, but I still felt bad especially after what Blackcat wrote

I think it was a super cute craft idea and really didn't want anyone to feel bad for making it .....I was just throwing out a comment a DCM made to me as I had never given it a thought before.

But I suppose now days there is always going to be something that offends someone.....kwim?

(I am NOT making light of being patriotic or the meaning of our flag.) Just making note of the fact that in order to be accepting and diverse, there is ALOT to be considerate of now days....

Oh, I didn't mean you made me feel bad, Blackcat.

I just felt kind of messed up when I realized that we had done exactly what I had read about, but I didn't want to micromanage the project completely, kwim?

I think you're right, its a.lot that has to be considered nowadays.
