    Spin Off To Playdoh Thread!

Okay ladies, I had so much fun making playdoh today! Thanks to the recipes posted. I made green playdoh for my daughters dinosaur themed party.

Also, I was wondering what cute ideas anyone has for containers for playdoh. I have a craft show coming up and making a nice little set of multi-colored playdoh should be a fun thing to contribute to the sale!

Also, I heard you should store this in the fridge otherwise it gets moldy? is that true?

How about using those little plastic containers that baby food comes in? We use those for EVERYTHING.

The round ones that the Target brand baby food comes in would be a nice little amount of fun play-doh.

so you mean, wash out baby food containers and then re-use them? or is this more like a tupperware container?

its been awhile since any kids here have eaten baby food!

I store them in airtight Tupperware containers at room temperature. I still have some green playdoh from last year that is in decent shape (although, it is due to be thrown out). I've found it doesn't spoil so much as it does lose it's texture. I live in a very dry climate, though, so I'm sure that has something to do with its longevity.

I also use either ice cream buckets or old play dough containers. I had some in a metal bowl once that had a lid (pampered chef) and the kids didn't play with it for awhile and when I went to get it out once it had "eaten" little holes in the bowl. Now I stick to plastic!
