    Nap Time Connundrum...

Do you use nap mats, baby mattresses, cots?

I was thinking nap mats from Walmart but at 20$ a pop I can DIY much cheaper.

I was also looking into crib mattresses. I can buy them cheaply used and store 5 in my hall closet.

Kids can't nap in dd's room, living room or my room so all that's left is the play room. I hate the ideas of a pallet on the floor (nap mat) but even a trundle at this point won't be enough.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I use the the tot cots by regalo http://www.walmart.com/ip/Regalo-My-...el-Bed/4433186 They hold up well and use a very small amount of space to store. You can use normal blankets or make your own. I use these http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/prod...FUu4tgodhxzt1Q that way the pillow and blanket stay on the cot and not become a toy.

I use nap mats like the ones they have in Kindy. I just buy them when they are on clearance at the end of "buy your school supplies now" season..which I swear is earlier and earlier every year

Each child has their own pillow and blanket. I wipe the mats off after each napping period and fold and store them on a shelf in the same room. Easy peasy and they don't take up much space at all.

I thought about using preschools style cots with legs and such but they are spendy and they are big. So even the ones that stack or hang on the walls are much more space than my mats currently take up.

Some states have very specific regulations on what the kids can and can't sleep on and where so make sure you check just to be sure.

I have KinderMat's I found clearanced at Walmart for $3/each.

Even if you order them directly from the manufacturer they're nowhere near $20

They're also what I use for my diaper changing pads as they are durable, easy to bleach and fold up for storage. I keep a few in the bathroom so I can swap them out if I'm doing multiple changes at a time and one needs time to dry.
