    Helper/Sub HELP

I am thinking about getting a helper/sub. I have a ton of required training days coming up this Fall and can't imagine closing all the days I need to go to these trainings. Besides if I do close I still need someone to watch my own kids. I have placed numerous craigslist ads and only get shady people interested. I am not sure what else to try besides the local paper.

Does anyone have an occassional helper. What are the benefits? What about the negatives? Any suggestions. I am obvisiously still on the fence about it. What major things do I need to think about?

I can't remember which area you live in....PM me and I might have a great gal that you could call.

She is one of my DD's best friends from Kindy and is a part time Nanny for a family there now. She is also a college student looking to get her degree in community or family counseling. She is a really great gal and has lots of experience with kids. If I remember right, she has worked in a daycare center before as well.

So just PM me and remind me of your area and I will send you her name and number so you can see if she might be what you are looking for.

I would look at local universities or community colleges. Put some posting up in areas where they have early childhood education classes or something. You'll be giving a student valuable experience and stay away from shady people on Craigslist.
