    Should I Change My Ad??

    So I placed an ad in the local paper. My ad begins with : Quality, Affordable Family Home Day Care has limited F/T and P/T openings available.

    It's in the Child Care/Babysitting section.. which is right next to the Help Wanted section. I got 2 calls just today for people looking for work! ::

    Should I change the ad or what (if I even can?)? It runs for 6 weeks and I hate getting calls thinking it is for people wanting child care when it's people who think I'm hiring.

    On the plus side, I did get a call from a lady who is looking for daycare so yay! But still!!!

    Unless you paid to put in bold letters I AM NOT HIRING> Those stupid people call. the number is there so they call... I think they also go get or are given by unemployment the license list and call everyone looking for work.
    It:: will wait

      hmmm.... could you add "for your child" to the end of it so it says "limited ft and pt openings for your child"???? Sounds a little funny but I don't know how else to word it.

      People are just stupid but I think it could sound like you are hiring if its right near the help wanted ads. I get calls asking if I'm hiring all the time - just from web searches, etc. - people just see daycare and call, they pay no attention to the fact that its a home daycare that can only take 5 kids!

        I agree with what Crazy8 said.

        Quality, Affordable Family Home Day Care has limited F/T and P/T openings available for children aged ___ - ___.

        I can see where someone might think it's a Help Wanted Ad. Especially if it's right next to the Help Wanteds.
