I just moved from new port beach about 4 years ago. When I was there I at that time i did not take infants, but i believe that the going rate was about $55-60.00 daily.
You can call your county and ask them for the 2012 averages report by zip code for your county. That would be a good place to start so that you can see the averages listed by age....
I used to live in So Cal and work in Irvine. This was back in 2008 when I tried to find a daycare close to my work for my two kids. I can't tell you what the going rates are right now, but I CAN tell you that Irvine is about 10-20% HIGHER in their rates than almost any other city in the area! You definitely will need to do some research on your type of daycare (home or center), but look in only YOUR area, b/c Irvine is so much higher.
Like a gazillion dollars a day!
Irvine is a very desired and rich area...
I would say at least $220 a week but check craigs list and see what others are charging
My friend charges $225.00 per week and $60.00 a day. She said she was going to raise her rates this year but not sure if she ever did. I live in South County which is 20 minutes from Irvine and I charge the same.

I am in no cali in a very nice area...I would compare it to laguna Nigel and I charge 225 for children age 2 not Potty trained. I know that when i left there that I was making about the same, if not a little less, but that was 4 yrs ago.
