    Your Craigslist Ad...

If/When you post a craigslist ad, do you include your rates? I've found that when I do, I get absolutely no responses.

But when I dont, all I get is "how much do you charge for.....?"

And I personally like to meet a family before I quote them a price. But I'm not sure how to add that into my ad without saying that, or sounding rude.

    Any suggestions?

How about "Rates are competitive with other area providers but are based solely on each individual family's needs"

If they ask you on the phone simply reply with something similar to the above statement and maybe add that you are unable to give them an exact cost until you have been able to evaluate their level of required care.

If they still want some kind of estimated number, I quote my max price for full-time care and mention what my drop in rate is as well. Usually that is sufficient.

I just put "reasonable rates" in mine. I get tons of one liner emails asking "How much?" and NEVER hear back from these people, nor do I care. Those who email or call with questions pertaining to our actual program usually only ask about price once they are in the interview and by then, they're already sold
