Interviewing For a Licensing Specialist/Daycare Inspector Position

I may have an interview for a Licensing Specialist/daycare Inspector Position for my state.
For anyone that is a Director/Daycare Owner/Licensing Specialist/Home Provider etc what are some interview questions they may want to ask me? What all should I be prepared with? I have been reviewing the State Licensing Standards and Regulations since I applied so Im trying to keep that all in mind, its a lot of info to remember. I understand there will be training but Im getting nervous about them asking me questions I havent thought about....anyone??

I am not a lic specialist but I think it would be important to highlight the ability to work with all types of people and do so in a nonjudgemental manner. Our licensors are more helpful than mean if you kwim. They problem solve with us and understand that our primary goal is to keep kids safe but understand that we are also living in the space we work and life happens. I think highlighting those types of skills would be important.

    Good luck!

      This is good advice.

I love my licensor...she is supportive, friendly and helpful and when she doesn't know something, she finds out for me.

I love that she is super confidential and professiona.l She never acts like she is superior or better than me. I think that helps her build a good relationship with the providers in our area.

      Good luck with your interview!

Thank you both for your input. I hope I get the opportunity to show them I would be great for the position. I honestly feel this is what I have been waiting for. I am registered on this site and operate a Type B Family Child Care. I love caring for children but I still feel like there is something missing with my career, I want to make a difference and help individuals succeed in the child care business. I like doing secretarial/administrative work also so I think this position would be the best of both worlds

I don't know if anyone will be back to answer your questions.
