My new baby was supposed to start today and she's a no-show. I've called the mother, no response. I'm just hoping that they are running late and Mom can't answer because she's driving.

That's aweful, I really don't understand how people can be that way. At LEAST you deserve a phone call. I hope the babies mom contacts you.- Flag

Has she signed a contract and given you the deposit and 1st weeks payment? If she hasn't then that's probably why. I bet if she had paid it in full she'd be there on time if not earlier than scheduled. I hope she shows up soon and that she's just running late.

She ended up showing up about 45 mins ago. She didn't answer the phone because she was driving and thought it was her dh.
Her older kids were giving her a hard time this morning because they wanted to know where the baby was going and they wanted to go too. They are in a preschool.- Flag

The baby was such a sweetheart today. She crawled around and did her own thing, ate really well, AND took a 2 1/2 hr nap. I woke her up because Mom asked that she not be allowed to sleep past 2:30-3:00.
It was nice to just have her and my 5 yo today. I got to spend a lot of one on one.- Flag

Also, I will trade your baby for my baby! I watch a 5 (almost 6) month old that SCREAMS. All. Day. Long. Unless I'm holding him. I can't even put him in a pack n play for nap time, as soon as I put him on him down he wakes up and screams. And then screams some more!- Flag
