    Don't Be Shocked!!!

I believe that the family that gave me a two week notice last week for not wanting to follow the contract. Has found their new care giver for their 3 children. I believe it is the Aunt. Who is a lesbian have no problem with this, but she shows ALOT of affection to her girlfriend in front of the children. And she was just released from prison after 16 years for helping in a murder.
Well as long as she's a good infulence for the children that's all that matters.

I don't think "affection" is a big deal, as long as it's appropriate. I give my husband hugs and whatever in front of the kids, I don't think it's a big deal.

Now the murder thing, yeah....that's a big deal!

yikes- the murder issue- not shocked but why would a parent want that for their child/children? The lesbian issue doesn't bother me-

It's ALWAYS the aunt. Then, when it doesn't work out like mom thought it would, the mom calls the old provider hoping she will take the kids back.

Sometimes that discount childcare you were looking forward to isn't such a discount.

But, hey... if a convicted felon is not a deal breaker for them, I don't think they set the bar too high anyway.

Her being a lesbian and showing affection to her partner should not be an issue. I show affection to my partner in our home and infront of daycare children. If her being a lesbian doesn't bother you then why mention it?

The prison record is what would bother me.

I choose to be silent on this issue to keep myself out of trouble!

It sounds like maybe she meant the amount or level of affection shown was inappropriate for little eyes to be watching. Of course, I give my husband a quick hug and kiss when he gets home but I wouldnt be making out in front of the kids or anything.

Thank you Cheerfuldom. That is exactly what I was talking about. I also will give my husband a hug and kiss when he leaves for work and when he comes home.
I do not have a problem with her choice of partners. I do how ever have a problem with the amount of affection that I've been told has been displayed in front of the children. Sorry some things just need to be left for the bedroom. Regardless of the gender.
