I am planning on going to buy a duplex and before I do I want to know is it ok to run my daycare in one and live in one in the state of CA.

to my understanding, you must live in the home that you conduct daycare out of in CA. I would call and check with licensing to find out exactly what you would need to do in this case.

Could you put a door in to join the 2 units?
In Cali you have to live in your home for it to be a home daycare.
