    the size of the activity room is 14x16..! child age: 13-21 months...what is the ratio in that room? thank you.

      In Ca. IF you are a center, the room would be large enough for 6 children. In centers you have to have a minimum of 35 square feet per child. 14X16=224 square feeet, divided by 35 =6.4

      If you are Family Child Care, there isn't a minimum number of square feet.

        In Utah, we have to use the 35 square foot rule for home day care too. They don't count bathrooms etc.....just usuable day care space. My licenser told me I was big enough for 40 kids....although 16 is the max allowed.
