    Childcare Expo 2012

Childcare Expo 2012, sponsored by Morton Michel Insurance, is THE event for the early years, childcare and nursery sector.

The free event showcases an array of innovative activities, products and services designed to get early years professionals buzzing with ideas to take back to their settings. It takes place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on Friday 28th - Saturday 29th September 2012.

Childcare Expo 2012 will host the show’s best ever seminar programme, bringing more expert advice and knowledge about the issues that really matter to the early years sector. Book a place onto the seminar sessions to hear from headline speakers such as: Anand Shukla, Chief Executive Officer at Daycare Trust; Chris Barnham, Deputy Director for Early Years Quality and Standards at the Department of Education; Michael Freeston, Director of Quality at Pre-School Learning Alliance plus many others.

Due to popular demand ‘Play on a Budget Workshops’ will return this year! Packed with tips and tricks for creating activities with even the smallest of budgets, these sessions will help make any activity programme sparkle. From den building to outdoor learning, discover innovative ideas from top industry trainers such as Sue Gascoyne from Play to Z and Wendy Whittaker-Large from Elearvation.

The show will also host a range of other specialist feature areas including ‘Inspirational Themes’ which has been created by our partner TTS. With the land of the dinosaurs, the construction site, the space zone, a Pirate Island, a wizard’s workshop and even Santa’s Grotto, this area will excite the senses and leave visitors with a year’s worth of ideas to take back to their settings.

Whilst at the show, visitors are invited to ‘try and buy’ from a diverse range of early years suppliers and take the time to network with business partners, staff or other childcare professionals. For more information or to register for your free ticket please visit If you are a nursery chain executive, nursery owner, manager, childminder or an early years professional then you should visit the Early Years Show of the year!

This is in England! Now I REALLY wanna go home LOL!!!! Sounds a wonderful experience for English providers.....wish we had something similar here.

Locally, we have a Womens Expo at UVU in Orem Utah that it FANTASTIC. My daughters and I just went. Everything you can think of that would be of interest to women was there. A childcare one would be heaven!!!

I wish there was something like this available too, that was packed with information, helps, inspiration, ideas, ideas, and not your normal boring seminar that addresses the same old same old. A working-slash-informative- fun-pack full of what women like(sorry to the men- but maybe a mens interest area too)chuck pack full, weekend affordable getaway. Too bad it is in England- but hey they have the right idea going-

Our state does a big child care providers conference. I think there are actually a couple done each year where they offer vendors and speakers, mini-courses/classes and food too!

I know one is sponsored by one of our states food programs and the other is a mega conference put on by one of our state universities that is very well known for its Early Childhood program.

I would try to check with your local CCR&R to see if there are any expos or conferences in your state.....otherwise, I suppose we could take some itme off and all head over to England and see if we can get a group rate! ::

IDK if it's state wide for us or not but I know that our county holds a large conference every 2 years (used to be every year but it's down to every 2 because of budget cuts) and I love attending. The workshops are always great and we get to mingle with vendors and see what resources are out there. I just attended and participated with the child care association that I'm a board member of and it's always so much fun. It's always held at our local R&R too and sponsored by the county Department of Education.
