    Toddler Not Getting Bath

I'm a regular registered user but I'm opting to remain logged out this time...

I have a 21 months old in care that I don't think is getting enough bathtub time...
He comes with clean clothes every morning, but he is sooooo sticky, and you can feel that is not super clean...
Last week he had sand in his hair for two days straigth, after our outing at the park a couple of days before.. he also have longer hair, that look "greasy" most of the times...

He comes at 630am - he feels so sticky that after Mom leaves I take a few wipes and wipe down his arms and legs, and geez... they turn out brown/blackish every single time...

I'm honestly always reluctant to touch him because the poor kid just feel so dirty... my husband told me that I should tell his Mom, but it is a touchy subject and I don't know how to say that he needs to come to daycare clean...

He has 4 older siblings in the teenage years, and I know that Mom works a lot in and out of the house, so I'm wondering why not seek help from the older kids in giving a bath to the little brother...

I was thinking about giving out to everyone (so I dont have to point the finger) an handout with the rule from the handbook that states that the kids need to come clean and changed in the morning... kind like a reminder...

Poor kiddo I know if I don't bathe my DS every other night (or sometimes every night depending on what we do he will be stinky, sticky, and dirty)... I have a DCG that is like that though, she sometimes just STINKS so badly.. I too wipe her down with baby wipes as soon as mom leaves so I can get rid of the smell

I think a handout is a great idea. Or if you are a little bolder you could always say something like, "Ohh little Johnny, you have sand in your hair! Did you go to the beach this morning??" jokingly and directed toward him.

I have a dcb like this too. He's so dirty his skin will be black. I have to wash his feet in the morning because he will leave footprints on the carpet I know if I bathe him it will just give dcm an excuse not to have to do it herself. I have to remind myself, it's not my job.

I thought I was the only one! I have two siblings, one old enough to tell me they bathe on the weekend only. They both appear to be fairly clean in the mornings though. I've considered bathing them too! But thats exactly right --NOT MY JOB!

A lot of people include their handbook with their contract and make it all in one. There is a sticky thread up above that is called "Handbooks and Policies"

My hand book has my illness policy, hours, rates, vacation/holiday info, etc etc. Its a few pages long.

I to have one like this she doesn't stinck but her hair is dirty. I have ponies here to pull it back and i try it is full of food or now boogers. And you can't get a brush through it normally. I fix it for her almost everyday And she comes in the morning with it the same as she left so I know it is not getting washed. Sometimes this even happens over a whole weekend. If you aren't fixing her hair or washing it then cut it, it is almost down to her but.

I know someone said that they fill a pool up in the summer and put soap in it and let the kids play but they are being washed at the same time. Hmm If they were so icky, I think I might have to wash them
