I charge $275 a week for infants (2 and under here in California), over 2- I charge $250 a week. I'm at capacity with a waiting list. I live in a good location because I'm in between 2 major freeways so I have 2 parents that commute to San Francisco, one to Oakland and one to San Jose. Fortunately I've been very lucky with how wonderful they are. I live in an older home that is a third of the size of some of their homes, they drive fancy cars, one of the dads has a brand new Tesla, but all of them are so amazing and treat me like I'm family.

Sorry, not to hijack the thread but I just thought this was interesting. In my state (CA) children are infants until the age of 2 and then they are toddlers/pre-schoolers until they are old enough to go to school. Once they go into Kinder thay are school-agers. So many differences aren't there? It always amazes me.- Flag

i charge $175 a week for 18 months and under
$150 a week for 18months-3 years
$125 a week for 3 and up
I charge based on age because I provide diapers and wipes. In my experience, younger children tend to use more diapers than the older ones. And obviously, none once they are potty trained.
I charge average based on my location in Las Vegas. Centers around me charge a little bit more. But then you could go to the other side of town where parents pay thousands a month. I worked at one of those centers...it was horrible! the kids ran the place.- Flag

I don't think our answers are going to be helpful. You need to check around in your area and see what the rates are. My rates are $220 per week for any age, but I am very low for infants. I am going to raise my rates for infants if I ever take any more. Around here, infant care is closer to $270-$320 a week.- Flag

Homebased daycare
I charge $35 a day no matter what the age is (infant to 3 years old) some I get 2-3 days a week and some I get 4-5 days a week. Parents had checked with regular daycares and felt my rate is fair. (So assuming daycares costs more than what I charge) I’m in Florida- Flag

It really varies here. Some cheaper homes will go for as low as 130 even 100 for babies or kids younger than 18 months in general. Others are higher at around 170-200 a week for a baby or under 18 months, thats in a 5 mile range! partially the city but i think partial just knowing your worth, making yourself worth that higher dollar.
centers range from 190-225 generally, the highest i know of is 250 a week but thats not the most common but still very popular.
i think people will associate the cheap price with cheap care.
when i open back up and focus on under 18 months i plan to hopeufully do 4 days only but at 190, diapers, wipes, bottles, food, formula, included. the works.- Flag
