Hiring New Assistant, Need Help with Contract Wording

    Hi Ladies!

I am hiring a new back up/assistant, and need help on how to inform the parents.

I feel that I should have them sign something to the effect that they are aware that someone other than me will be watching the kids, and that everything else in the contract is the same (including the liability waiver). I also want to do a cute little bio on her as well.

How have any of you handled this?

I want to make sure that if I were gone, if any issues occured my assistant would be legally protected the same as I would.

My current contract states that I will never leave the home without letting the parents knowing in advance and have given their permission, but I want to totalle change that to: I can come and go whenever I need to without permission (putting it in a nicer way, however).

    Thoughts? Thanks!

I don't know about the assistant contract, but I do notify the parents if I leave. They don't have to give permission, but I put a sign on the door the day before stating my dh (or my backup) will be in the house from approximately X - Y. If they don't like it, they don't have to bring their kids.
