Checklist for a Family Day Care

Hello everyone. Im hoping some1 can help me with this question. I am interested in starting a Family Day Care in Ct and I wanted to know if anyone knows if there are mandatory home renovations to be made in order to get a family day care license. I'd rather not spend the money on renovating my kitchen cabinets and floors if the blemishes can be overlooked. I dont want to spend the application processing fee beforehand, only to have the inspector visit and tell me I have to make certain renovations. I'd rather know beforehand. Also, does anyone know the time frame after an inspector comes, that you have to make the required changes the inspector suggested?

It would really depend on what state you are in...each state has a little bit of variation on requirements or regulations.

The main concern is to have two exits on opposite sides of the daycare, the second exit can be a window as long as it is a certain size. But that's the first question that I was asked by the person I ordered my application from
