I'm waiting for the center at my church to open so I will be able to start my new job. I gave notice and closed my in-home childcare in the middle of March so the parents would have enough time to find alternate care. We were supposed to open the beginning of April but have had building dept. delays which caused liscensing appointments to be delayed. This week the director's family has had a nasty stomach bug so that may be affecting things, too. I guess I am just asking for prayers that this will all come together soon. I knew when I gave notice to my families that there was a good chance that opening would be delayed (there were alot of unforseen building updates that needed to be made) but not working is starting to make me a little nervous.

If you are really anxious maybe you can start on some curriculum ideas and prepping craft projects.

I probably could, but I purposely sold and gave away all my daycare stuff so I would not be tempted to start childcare in my home again...
! I really was "done" with doing care in my home. All the booger noses wiped on my furniture and sicknesses brought in and passed on to my kids for the last 8 years was wearing on me more. And I just wanted my house back.

I actually am relaxing for the most part. I think we are just a few weeks out now til we open. Occupancy permits and liscensing has just taken a bit longer than originally planned. I think I am going to start looking at ideas more like you suggested. I am getting alot of reading done!
