    Summer time!

9 of the 10 kids I will have this summer will be over the age 2.5. This is a first for me as most years I have 3 and unders. Four of them will range 5-8 years old. This is far more SAs than I've ever had before. I'm know that they will be bored to death with the 2-3 year old circle time and crafts I have set up. I'd like to give them a big kid retreat area for times like before breakfast (my littles usually nap in the morning but I know they won't), during the littles circle time and crafts, and during afternoon nap. Any ideas?

I'd also like some fun outdoor activity/craft ideas that they would all find fun.

Any suggestions?!?! Thanks ahead of time

I don't do many structured activities in the summer time. If you do pre-school type things such as curriculum and such why not give everyone a vacation from it in the summer months?

We spend 99.9% of our time outiside in the summer. Sometimes even lunches, snacks and naps.

We spend the majority of our time outside in the summers also!

This group of todds I have are really wearing me down though! I have 3 that are between 2 and 3. I feel like they are constantly at each other all the time even when they are outside. Circle time and crafts is a time of day they really enjoyed so I don't really want to get rid of it.

At the same time...I don't want the older kids to get bored. And I really need a quiet area for them to play during naps so they don't get rowdy and wake the littles. I figure they will play outside but when it gets to be June July it will be in the 100s and they won't last very long out there. Maybe they can play outside for an hour then read inside for an hour.

      IDK:confused:....I'm nervous- can you tell?!?!
