I think you're doing great sticking to your guns about the late fee. DCM had reminders up the wazoo and still didn't pay on time. I don't care how confusing it may have been for her, she was reminded, if she was "confused" then she should have asked you to clarify BEFORE payment was due. And if the situation is still too confusing to her then you two can make a different payment agreement, as long as YOU are comfortable with it. Good luck!

I charge the Friday before the week and parents pay every 2 weeks. On Friday I put a laminated sign up on the door that says "PAYDAY". I use MMK too but I don't use them to do direct deposit. I just enrolled a couples child that works for MMK as well. Kinda cool. I tell parents that they are adults and to consder me like a revolving payment. --i am your credit card or whatever. You pay me every 2 weeks.....::

End of day discussion went fine.

She has 1 credit left for an extra day. After that, we will no longer be doing the "pre-pay for extra days" at all. Just the typical $100 for 3 days a week every two weeks. If she comes an extra day, she will bring $30 with her.

            Ta-da. Done.

I couldn't even follow your initial post - I think you are right in getting rid of the floating credits thing!

I would require payments on Friday. You say everyone else pays on Friday and you just say payment has to be in BY Monday. I would change it to payments due on Friday, late charge given if not brought in with child Monday morning. This way if they forget Friday, and walk in Monday with child and no payment you can turn them around at the door. Would she rather pay weekly or monthly? I would offer those options if you think it would help. But people need to grow the heck up and not need to be texted every time payment is due!!!!
