    Already Seeing Snakes

we saw 3 snakes yesterday. Never before have I dealt with snakes in April. 1 was in the playyard yesterday. I always have the children wait at the picnic table while I check over the play yard. I had checked it and 10 minutes later there the little booger was. Saw 2 more last night. They were just black snake but... yuck!

A man here was bitten by a copperhead, right in his front yard in the middle of town. The news is issuing warnings about how many we will have this year due to the mild weather.

YIKES !!! I cannot tolerate them and would FREAK if I saw one. My neighbors here haven't seen a rattle snake in over 3o years. But they are definitely around. We do have a good number of gopher snakes, which helps keep the rattle snakes away...but I wouldn't be able to stand there and figure out if it was a rattle or gopher snake...I'd be too scared regardless

Ooooooo, I hate to burst your bubble but MN has 17 different species of snakes and 2 of them are venonmous!! Both are found in your area!!

My DH is deathly afraid of snakes. Funny story: He still owns his car from high school and it has sat behind our garage for years waiting to be restored someday....well one day we were walking out back and noticed a snake (of the garter variety) sunning itself on the hood of the car!

DH freaked out...we have a deal, he gets rid of spiders since I can't handle them and I get rid of snakes since I don't mind them so I have to walk closer to the car and get rid of the snake.....only upon further inspection I see that there is not only one snake but hundreds!!!!!!!

They have decided to use DH's car as their nest and the whole car was FULL...FULL of snakes, snake skins big snakes, little snakes, snakes everywhere!!!! .....

Now DH wants to get rid of the car because he is so grossed out!! LOL!! I am not afraid so I will end up cleaning out the car and we will end up restoring it someday but probably not until he gets over his "issues" LOL!! ::

How can SNACKS be venomous???????????? (Just kidding)

I am with your DH. I would set the car on fire before I got within 50 ft of it.

I was visiting my sister over the weekend in northern Texas. I saw something crawl down a hole and asked her if she had problems with moles. "No, that was a spider." "No, it was furry like a mole or a mouse." "No, that was a spider." I watched for a few minutes to see a tarantula crawl out. I looked around her yard and found 5 or 6 more tarantula holes. I told her the first one I saw in the house, I would be gone to a hotel.

When I was a kid we would go to Texas and visit relatives there. My cousins and I would pore water down the Trarantula holes and wait for them to come up. We had butcher knives just in case we had to chop one up. We were fearless!

I like my bubble so I am not going to explore any further.... Funny thing is my husband and I are the same, but opposite of you two. I handle spiders and he handles snakes
