So I had two interviews scheduled on Monday.
#1 4:45pm Interview - I confirmed that she would be able to make it for her interview Monday afternoon. At 4:35pm she called me to ask if they could re-schedule their interview for later in the evening as they had all fallen asleep. I told her no sorry I have another appointment tonight at 5:30pm, the earliest I could re-schedule you for is on Thursday at 5:15pm. She hesitated, saying that was a long ways off but took the interview space regardless. Note: She doesn't need placement for her child until July 2012. Her hesitation makes me wonder if she is going to blow me off again on Thursday?...
#2 5:30pm Interview - I also confirmed that she would be able to make it for her interview Monday afternoon. 5:30pm rolls around and no interview, 5:40pm... 5:50pm...6:00pm...obviously by this point I wouldn't have answered the door if anyone did show up. No phone call, no email, no communication as to what was going on at all. I even tried calling her cell and got no answer. I woke up this morning to an email from her stating that she was unable to find my home yesterday and would like to re-schedule her interview for today. I told her no sorry I have other appointments today but I could fit you in on Wednesday at 6:15pm. I don't understand why she couldn't have pulled over and called me to tell me she was having problems finding my home? I also don't understand why I didn't get any communication from her until this morning?
So anyways my feelings are:
Interview #1 - Because her excuse for not being able to make her appointment was that they all fell asleep would that give you the impression that priorities are not in order and she may show up late for her child later on down the line if I enrolled him?
Interview #2 - Because I didn't get any communication from mom until this morning as to why she didn't show up for her interview would that give you the impression that I may end up with communication problems later on down the line if I enrolled her child?
I DO NOT want to enrol a family that I see any red flags with so your advice would be greatly appreciated.
