    Transition Time

What's a fair amount of time to allow for transitional behavior issues? I've had a new kid 2 weeks and he's had his ups and downs but if the downs keep up..I don't think this the right place for him ( I think he may need some special support for certain issues). What do you think is a good amount of time to tell the parents that we're letting him adjust-a month? They already say that they are simply looking for the best fit for him and they know that he needs extra attention with certain things. I just want to be sure I give the transition a chance before sending him away.

    Thanks for opinions.

If he comes everyday for at least 6 or more hours, I think two weeks is plenty. If you are willing and able to give him a month, that is great but I think that after two full weeks, you kind of already know if they are making progress fitting in or not.

      How old is he?
My daughter is painfully shy, much worse when she was younger. Before I started my DC, it took her almost a month to adjust to going to one. Everntually it turned out wonderfully and she loved it but it was a huge adjustment for her. She was 15 months at the time.
