    Gender Neutral Toys

I have been searching and searching and hoping one of you out there will have some suggestions for me.

I have been searching for baby doll furniture for my daycare kids and all I can find is pink and purple and very girly! I have toddler boys that adore playing with babies and being little daddies. I don't currently have any doll furniture, since the set I had before was a cheap one that didn't last. Any suggestions where I can find some non-girly doll stuff? Thanks!!

Constructive Play Things has some good sturdy wooden things http://www.constructiveplaythings.co...nt_id=Dramatic Play&dept_id=Dolls and Accessories

Also Lakeshore, Kaplan and Environments has the same type of wooden furniture that is not pink or purple.

But why can't they play with the pink & purple stuff? I don't think they even care about the color. Not judging, just throwing it out there. Especially if they are toddlers. I could see 6 and above boys not wanting girly stuff, but I have a doll house set with furniture that is mostly pink, and the toddler boys LOVE it as much as the girls. Again, just my thoughts for what it's worth.

I had a dad jump down my throat one time when he picked up his son and he had been playing with a girl doll and a pink stroller.

I just said, well he is going to have a very well loved and taken care of daughter some day and she will be a huge "daddy's girl". I see no problem with that what so ever!

Not sure how FCCRs would view it though. I would think you would have to have both genders represented equally in dramatic play.

I agree with the PP....I prefer white stuff or wood stuff. Search for amish, amish inspired, waldorf, waldorf inspired, natural toys....those should pop up some gender neutral items although they are almost all wood items that might be a bit more pricey

I saw both boy and girl baby dolls at Toys R Us a while back. Some had pink sleepers and others had blue sleepers. There is also a store that sells "little seedling" dolls that are male and female. My DD has a boy one. There are also Etsy sellers who make dolls waldorf style.
