iPad or Tablet

Funny story: I was watching one of my two year olds play with V-tech computer type toy the other day and she was brushing her finger across the screen, trying to make it work. Like the iPad she uses at home...

It's the world we live in, technology is what these kids are going to know.

My dd (almost 3) does the same thing. She's used to an iTouch, iPad, or our iPhones. She will try to brush her finger across play phones because she's used to the Mac products. We're a Mac family bc my husband uses Mac to do his job--advertising/marketing.

I guess I would be more inclined to go with the new LeapPad Tablet for kids. In my mind it would hold up better to young kiddos. Might cost more per program or application, but I think the fact that it is built for kids would more than make up the difference. I'm not one to have hundreds of games for the kids, anyway. 10 or so would probably be my limit for them. For my purposes an IPod, while I'm sure they would enjoy it, would be just way too much for this age group. IMO only.

Besides, if I ever get an Ipod, it's for ME!!!! ::

We got our girls LeapPads this past year for Christmas and they love them. The Apps are a little more expensive than for an IPod or IPad, but we asked for the little App Gift Cards for Christmas for them and they each have $20 worth of games that have kept them busy (Once you buy an App you can put it on 2 Leap Pads )
