    Child Size Furniture ????

I currently have the little foam child size seats but the kids drive me crazy using them inapprioprately, ie jumping on them, moving them all ove pulling them onto their heads. Literally anything but sitting in them.

So I am thinking of investing in some good stationary child size couch and chairs.

    Which are the best???
I want something that will last and the the kids can use without it becoming a problem.

Does anyone have a set they love and has lasted?

Has anyone bought something that you would absolutely NOT recommend?
    Thanks

I have two child-sized chairs from Ikea (the ones that look the same as the adult versions). The kids never do anything inappropriate with them.

The stools at the small able and the chairs at the other tables ... that's another story ...

Can you try removing the foam ones when they're not being used properly to see what happens? Or ban the child/children that use them improperly from being able to use them for the rest of the day?

I have small kids size furniture and at first I had some kids that would try to rearrange them and knock them over, climb on them etc. but I just consistently remove the item or ban the child from using it (if I can't remove it) and that works. I'd rather teach the child hwo to use the furniture properly than to have to go out and spend more money to replace it with something else KWIM?

OMGosh I have removed them over and over. I preach all the time "the chairs are for sitting" I stay on them all the time about sitting in them. I need soft child size furniture for FCCRS but it is a constant battle. The foam chairs were given to me by another prvider that went out of business. They are nice Dora chairs (very light) but these kids will ruin them. I have an old recliner (too heavy for them to move around) that is 16 years old and flat worn out but the kids sit in it perfectly with no problems.

I just got these from Target, and they have worked out pretty well. The only thing is they say micro-fiber, but they are more of a linen. Maybe they have some in other colors? I like that they DON't have commerical stuff on them...like Dora...

Shop Target for kids dog chairs you will love at great low prices. Choose from Same Day Delivery, Drive Up or Order Pickup plus free shipping on orders $35+.

Do you have a Ross store in your area? They dont stock them all the time, but they have child sized faux leather little sofas and arm chairs there. They go for about $99 for the sofa and $69 for the chairs. Tough, cleanable, won't tip and heavy enough to not be.easily pushed around. Like a mini living room. I also got a faux leather ottoman at walmart that is soft to sit on, but has storage inside. You turn the top over and it is a wood play surface. Those are usually in stock at walmart. Love the Ross furniture, but you have to keep checking back. I have seen the kid sized sofas and chairs occasionally at Big Lots also. Local retail much cheaper than child care catelogs, imo. I like the Ikea stuff, thanks for posting!

Never heard or Ross. I will look around. I will look at walmart too. This is kinda a small town and we don't get a lot. I may have to travel a little.
I looked at Kaplan on line but I am afraid the upholster stuff will rip and that stuff is tooo expensive. The Ikea looks nice. I am wondering if it will be soft enough for what FCCRS wants in the soft furnishings area.

                            Off topic but:
I was actually told by a Stars Program inspector that the Dora and Diego sofas I had are "inappropriate because they depict Hispanics in a stereotyoical way" Really? The same inspector also told me my Cinderella video was inappropriate because it was "suggestive and frightening and implies child abuse. Hmmm. I watched it asa child and I turned out ok.

I had the same Dora Furniture last time FCCRS came and they didn't count off. I just had to put it out the week before they were expected cause the kids wouldn't sit in it without doing flips. But my kids were younger then. Only had 1 3 yr old the rest were toddlers.

                              How is Dora stereotypical?????
