    Craigslist Ad

I'm, & I'm a 23 year old single mom I work 2 jobs & I'm in need of a babysitter, the thing is that I can only afford $15.00 a day :/ I would need babysitting from 930am until 8 or sometimes as late as 10pm, again, I know is not a lot but its all I can afford at the time,iy would be everyday besides Wednesdays(my day off) & Saturdays I would only need a sitter from 4pm until 8pm. He goes back & forth to his dads so I wouldn't need u when he's at his dads.I need someone reliable. I can pay every Thursday. Send me a message if interested. I look forward to hearing from you, have a great day (:*

Uh yeah.. that's not gonna happen. I find it interesting that she doesn't say the age of her child(ren) or for how many.

State Assistance for sure and "Dad" needs to help out financially.

That is sad that she thinks she can find good care for $15 a day for so many hours, but at least she is being honest, unless playing the "poor me" card and just looking for someone to do special for her. But if she is being honest, I feel for her.

State aide in my area has a waiting list of at least 18 months so just because it may be an option, it isn't always option for some....KWIM?

I also want to mention that where I live state aide is pretty strict about it's income guidelines and I have had many families not qualify because they were over income by only a few dollars so pehaps the $15 she CAN afford is the amount that pushes her over income limit.

Dad may also already pay child support and or/other expenses all the time or when he has the child (which this mom didn't clarify) so if they have shared custody, I would hardly expect dad to pay up when the child is on mom's time.

Maybe she could get in touch with the Christian woman who is offering free babysitting services......

Ads like that one show up around this area all of the time. Now it's so bad that these moms are quitting their jobs because they can't find childcare for free or cheap and start offering it for little or nothing.

It's nothing to see SAHMs only charging $75 a week in this area for 10-12 hour days.

Granted cheap isn't always better but it sure makes the rest of us professionals look like we are trying to stick it to them when they can get care for 50-75% less!
