Building My 2nd Daycare!!!!
We're about to build our 2nd daycare and I'm so excited!!! I currently live in a tiny bedroom in my current daycare, with all my belongings over at my moms house, and I HATE it! This house is about 1,100 square feet, but it just doesn't feel big enough for 12+ kids, and my family. So on the same property we are building a 2 story, 2,400 square foot building with the daycare on the bottom 1,200 sq feet and my "house" on the top 1,200. It will be a preschool with the daycare for kids under 3yrs old in the current building. I CANNOT WAIT!!!! It's so hard having kids ages 3wks-3rd grade here all at one time. I've only been open a year and I don't see how people do it for years and years! We feel like we're on top of each other!
Our new building will have a small bathroom with double sinks at their level, an open kitchen so we can watch them while cooking, and a LARGE open room about 27' x 31' where we can have everything set up for them. We're not sure how we're gonna set up everything, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! We're thinking of maybe some sort of tree house or loft in one of the corners, but other than that we're not sure.
