Agreed to have DCG 2.5 hours early

With next to no notice at all. Mom texted me yesterday afternoon to see if she could drop off at 5am because work needs her early. I say fine and go to bed at 8:30 last night. My alarm went off at 4:30 and I get a text at 4:45 saying she is running late because she "hit the snooze a few times, "

Its 5:20 and shes not here! Ugh!!!!

you should charge her the full extra fee even though she showed up late.

I didnt charge her extra in the first place :/ didnt even cross my mind that I could since she pays for the ability to come on any day Sun-Sat and usually any time though she normally comes 7-230. Today was supposed to be 7-345 but will end up being 530-345

I have been asked to open 1/2 hr. early. This has happened about 5 times in the past 8 yrs. All of them but once, they were actually on time, the rest of them were all at reg. time for drop off. I then placed something in my contract - if you are wanting me to open early, this must be asked and agreed upon, and there will be an extra charge for this as well. My teachers were just telling me, not asking me at all-" I have an early meeting I need to drop off 1/2 an hr. early tomorrow!!" OK!! I said back to them- That is when I added the statement into a newsletter and then later into the contract.

I would charge early fees and then never do it again. Sorry for the horrible start to your day.

honestly "if she pays for any time" then no, you shouldn't be charging her for it - but I would seriously rethink those terms of your contract!!!! That is one insane agreement.

At first it was fine. It was always 7am-5 at the very very latest. Usually picked up by 230. They live an hour away so I have been flexible. But lately its been until 8:45pm when mom and dad both work late. Or changing the schedule when mom works an overnight at the last minute. First time its been 5am though. 530 yes like three times before and dad did the dropping off and was right on time and very quiet and greatful. But mom did the dropping off and I guess couldnt get up in time and couldnt feed or change the baby.
