I had one parent drop off 45 minutes early; but I was GONE (taking my DD to school). My DH was home, and the DCM handed her child to my DH and left!!!

My DH, not knowing whether I had previously agreed to this early drop off, took the child. When I returned home and saw this child here in my house 45 minutes early, I was sooooo angry! I am usually flexible with parents who need an occasional early drop off or late pickup as long as they communicate with me; but I get LIVID when they do things like dropping off 45 min early without speaking to me about it first. And to top it off, she knew I wasn't home and handed her child to my HUSBAND!!! I told her never to do it again, and she didn't. From that point on she was pretty good about communicating with me.

I'm really tempted to start going on a walk in the early AM with the kids I have here (who pay to be early). I think we'll get back 2 minutes before 8:00. Yes. New plan.

I've been doing that for a parent who shows up as much as 45 minutes early everyday, even-though I don't really mind it all that much, because she arrives around 1230 but is suppose to be here at 115, so it's not that big of a deal, but it adds up, 45 minutes a day is 3 hrs at the end of her 4 day week, that she doesn't pay for.

oh I would KILL!!!!! I have one that I agreed to a 7am arrival (earliest prior was 7:45) and I flip when he shows up even 2-3 minutes early. I look like a drowned rat at 6:56am and a normal dry-haired daycare provider at 7am so those few minutes makes a huge difference to me!!!

Happy Birthday! Sorry this is happening to you. Definitely don't let it go! I'd bet anything she's late on purpose to make some kind of statement.

I've only had that happen once, right after a new DCF started. I had JUST gotten out of bed, wasn't dressed, my kids had just woken up and were in PJ's - the doorbell rang an hour early and one of the kids let them in. They stood in my foyer in the dark until I was dressed. I told them that I expected them to ask before dropping off early, and have never had it happen again. I think they were embarrassed. It doesn't sound like this DCM is though!
