My Husband Says I Am Addicted To Daycare.com

Great way to get me mad before i sit down and enjoy a nice bowl of cereal!! I swear some husbands..ahhhhh I am barely on this all day but when i have some time to myself i like to come here, read post, start threads, get and give advice from people who i know understand more about daycare then anyone in my immediate family or friends...i am sure if it was something of his interest he wouldn't mind....i can go on and on but then maybe i should just get a marriage counselour :::confused:::

anyways, just wanted to share that, good night ladies!

my 9 year old told me last night that I "sit on the computer all day". I kinda flipped out on him told him he'd HATE to see what this house would look like if I really did sit on the computer all day!!!
I check in here almost every day, but never for more than a few minutes at a time so I wouldn't say I'm addicted.... now facebook, that might be considered an addiction, LOL!

Yeah, back in the day, he used to complain that I was on the phone too much in the evenings talking to my "provider friends" about daycare.

At least now on the daycare.com, he can interrupt me without me biting his head off.

Plus he used to always say, "Babe I think you need more outlets, since you tend to get cooped up here all day" I say, here you go, Daycare.com is my outlet. Leave me alone! He will never admit it, but I think he thinks some of this stuff is amusing too.::::

If I leave the page on my computer my husband always reads posts on here.
The funniest thing was one day he asks me-"Did you see what was going on in daycare.com?"
Apparently he had checked in before I did...AT WORK::::::

My DH says I spend too much time on here too . Funny thing is that I don't usually come on here when he's home, it's always during the day when he's at work so that means he's at work checking on me too ::

I am addicted, too!!! I gotta know what is happening with my peeps...!!!

My husband gets this kind of glazed look in his eyes when I start talking about daycare...especially if I go on and on about how cute DCB was today and what DCG said that was hysterical, etc. I think he has to bite his tongue so he won't tell me he is not interested. :: And I know he really does not care about what happens on here but I will tell him anyways.

If your spouses give you a hard time being here just show them what Tom Copeland wrote about this being a tax write off:

Did You Know Time Spent on Daycare.com is a Tax Deduction?

                          Tom Compland's article on Daycare.com states :
These hours can include time spent on cleaning, activity preparation, meal preparation, phone calls, record keeping, time spent on Daycare.com Forum (!), conducting parent interviews, work at your computer (including time spent on the Internet - shopping, looking for recipes, marketing, etc.), and so on.
