    5 Mo Does Not Sleep

For the most part, she is happy and cheerful. She might take 3 or 4 15 - 20 cat naps in a 9 hour day.

I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works with her.

Today, I finally got her to sleep for 45 mins and the stupid cat jumped into her pack and play. Cat is lucky to be among the living.

Sounds like my newest baby. She is just a dream baby, never crabby but she is a cat napper. Today, she was 30 minutes into a nap and the dogs barked at the milkman. That ended that!

No complaints though, she is such a happy little thing. I just love her

I watch a 4month old and he'll take a short nap in the am and 2 hour nap with the kids between 12 and 2. but not a napper like I thought babies would be. He's a heavy sleeper, the kids will play right by him and he'll sleep right through it!

How many hours does she sleep total in a day? Have you tried putting her on a schedule yet? All my babies are on a schedule as soon as possible.
        8:00a.m.-9:00a.m.
        10:30a.m.-11:30a.m.
        1:00p.m.-3:00p.m.
If they are still here at 4:30 p.m. most fall back asleep until parents arrive.
This schedule usually works until around 6-8 months.
Then they start sleeping a little longer in the morning and skip the 10:30a.m.-11:30 a.m nap. They are never awake more than a few hours at a time.
        So from 6-8 months-1 1/2-2 years they sleep 8:00a.m.-9:30a.m. and 12:30/1:00p.m.-3:00 p.m.
I'm a firm believer in proper sleep and nutrition for kids.
Most of my daycare kids sleep 10-12 hours at night too.(except my candy kid from my other post)LOL
Try to get her on a schedule, place in bed, walk away. They WILL sleep, they always do.

She is on schedule as far as her feedings go, just not sleep.

My little angel slept 1 hour this morning and 2 hours this afternoon. I kept sneaking in to see if she was ok.
