    Blue Hair, Really?

So today I had a 22 month old dcb with his hair spiked and dyed blue. I know I'm getting older but really? I don't think blue spiked hair looks good on anyone let alone a 22 month old little boy.

I'm with you on that one. I'm not a fan of the mohawks on little boys either. I suppose I'm an old-fashioned 30 year old.

Good thing he's in daycare and not school bc they won't allow that in schools. I checked...my son wanted to dye his hair rainbow colors he wouldn't believe me that he couldn't have it..thought I was being mean so we called the school and also went to my hair lady..turns out they refuse to dye childrens hair til they 13. They will do it with the parents permission when their 13 but with one look from me she new not to even mention it in front of my son. :: He isn't even 10 yrs so you can bet thats not happening! I can't believe that the salon dyed this little guys hair. I know quiet a few places that won't do it.

It wouldn't surprise me. They make hair gel with coloring in it now. My son did his blue and my step son did his red one day. I thought it was cool! My son looked like Zach Morris (Saved by the Bell) with blue hair! ::

I do that with ds's (5 yo) hair occasionally, just for fun. He has a traditional little boy haircut, but when it starts to grow out, I will gel it straight up in a faux-hawk. He wants to get the color gel. When the colored hair spray was out for halloween, all the dck's went crazy with green/blue striped hair. It was so fun for everyone.

You can color hair at home. Any beauty supply place would have the non traditonal hair colors.

My sons 9 yrs...it's was the fade for him at 7 and 8. I broke down and got him the red gel color to paint his tips. I thought that was better then his whole head. He's since lost interest. I think when everyone's doing it then he wants to join in also. I don't mind gel but not the whole head...or rainbow colors...although I have a friend who is a model who did his in a rainbow color theme and it looked awesome. I just don't want to spend the money and have the school call me to fix it.

I wouldn't actually dye his hair - I was thinking color gel or something along the lines of VERY TEMPORARY!! haha

I guess this thread is all opinions, so here's mine! LOL! I think blue hair and mohawks can be fun! I don't, however, think that blue hair belongs everywhere. Daycare, school, workplace, these are all places that probably should have normal coloured hair.

My own son had a mohawk a few weeks past for spring break. But, when school started again we took it to a respectable brush cut.

I just hope it was the colored gel.

We've been seeing a lot more mohawks lately which personally, I don't think they look good on anyone. JMHO

Just waiting for the mullets to come back. ::

I wouldn't have an issue with it. There's a lot worse things that can be done that are permanent. This is temporary.

Only problem I found with the colored hair spray was it didn't wash out of my blonde children's hair very easily! It took a couple of shampoos to get it all out.
