    Here's the thing.

I have to have an assistant starting in mid-May (at the latest). I was really concerned about filling my Preschool, but the Lord has really been blessing the business lately. A great thing!

I only THOUGHT I would have 5 children per day on my own. I thought I could not handle more. Legally, I can have 12.
    Right now I have:
    Monday - 6 children
    Tuesday - 3 children
    Wednesday - 7 children
    Thursday - 4/5 children
    Friday - 4 children

I have an additional child that drops in as needed (Church friends, very lovely family to work with).

I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, I could just add an additional 2 children Tues/Thurs. But, I have some interested in full-time positions and other in part-time positions.

Right now, I wish I had more background knowledge in business. Being an education major did not help me out here. ::

My husband works with me full-time and has for the past 14 years. The parents and children adore him and he is a HUGE asset to my business. Parents like that there is a father-figure/male role model, that I have extra "protection" here if it is ever needed and that he (as most men are) is very playful and the kids have a lot of fun with him!

In 14 years, it has never cost me a potential client. I know because every family I have ever interviewed (exept for those I chose not to accept) has enrolled here. happyface

Funny you should post this. Dh brought this up to me over the weekend.

He has a long term back injury that was acting up again last week. He told me he doesn't know how much longer he would be physically able to do his job. He asked me to look into getting the large home child care license just in case he ends up not being able to continue driving for a living. He would be great as an assistant. We work well together and the current dck's adore him when he is here.
It's kind of scary for me, but my kids and I would love to have him home full time! We will just have to see what happens in the near future!
