Very Scared 3 Year Old...What To Do?

So I watch a 3 yo who started in February but lately doesn't seem like she wants to be here,she is scared of many things! Like when the sun goes behind clouds and it becomes shady she asks us to turn th lights on, when all of the lights are on.... she doesn't really play outside too much, as soon as she falls or anything she will jump up and ask for a hug, and worst of all she is terrified of my son he is 17 months old, but can be a bit aggressive. He is in the throwing phase and screams for me to pick him up sometimes.

Wherever he is, she has to be on the opposite side...during activities if he is around she will not stop starting at him to make sure he won't throw something or come close to her. I feel horrible because I want her to feel safe but i also dont want to feel i have to compromise my son so she is ok. and lately she doesnt want her mom to leave, she will keep asking for hugs and wont let her go. Any suggestions????:confused:

Wow that sounds horrible Have you spoken to the parents? What do they say about it? How long has she been with you? Sounds like nervous energy or anxiety...

She's been with us since February, I tell parents what she's afraid of, they said since we had a black out she was afraid of the dark and when she was a toddler she broke her leg coming off the slide but was perfectly fine after that....but I dunno. I also have this big stuffed dog that she needs to hold onto or keep near when she comes

Well I just got an email from mom saying she is pulling her daughter, I guess i expected that oh well whatcha can u do.on the upside I am registering a new three year old next week! Fingers crossedhappyface
