    Why?

I really dislike this stage of a child's life. The "WHY" stage. How many times can a child ask this question in one day? Sorry just a quick vent.

    Why?
    Why is is hard?
Why does it stress you out?
    Why does it bother you?
Why won't you answer them repeatedly?
    Why?
    Huh? Why?
    Why?
    Why?
    Why?

I get frustrated with this stage too. I've read this is so important and such a good sign in a child's development, but man... It gets hard

My 8yo dd asked me the other day, "how many walls do we have in the house?"

I took a deep breath and said, "when you're done eating, you can go count them!"

Sometimes I pretend like I'm sleeping, or if we are driving I pretend I can't hear!

      Good luck! happyface

        Lol WHY!!
My 2 yearold son asks 'Why' to everything -- I still find it amusing and agree that it is such an important question, and one that should always be asked. More adults need to remember to ask

Blackcat31 you better be really really careful. Remember I know where you live, and I would hate to see what the headlines say in tomorrows paper. ::::::::::::::::::

Not sure if I like the "why" stage anymore than I like the "no" stage from the 1 year olds. Or the "what" stage is particularly annoying too.
