    Cool Easter Egg Decorating Idea

I saw this last night on the Food Network and thought it looked like an awesome and fun idea!

Paint your Easter eggs with chalk board paint and then let the kids use chalk to decorate them easily!

Here is a neat link showing what they look like: http://herecomesthesun-kelly.blogspo...ster-eggs.html

...and just in case you are feeling really crafty, here is a link on how to make your own chalk board paint: http://www.skiptomylou.org/2007/03/2...d-easter-eggs/

First thing I thought of-I wonder if it would be toxic if it leaked in.

LOL!! That never dawned on me as I don't ever eat the Easter eggs anyways....I don't like the fact that they were "played" with at all....::

:: This is true. We usually have fun dying the eggs but I can't tell you how many years they were forgotten in the fridge and ended up in the trash because we kept forgetting to send them home with the kids. Weird thing is, they never missed them or asked for them. They just liked dying them.

And then there's always the forgotten egg from egg hunts. My Mother once found a petrified Easter egg behind the fridge. It had been there at least a year. Somebody hid it on top and it rolled off and was forgotten. It had the tiniest of cracks in the shell and we never smelled it. The heat from the unit dried it out completely.

                  That's ok....

I saw the chalk board egg thing on the food channel last night but the guy on there was painting real eggs not plastic ones.

I just found a quick link to show what I meant but didn't realize they were plastic ones, which I guess solves the toxicity issue so cool.
