I Really Wanted To Take The Day Off Today....

My DD (4.5) broke her arm bone( humerus) yesterday. The way she fell was a perfect recipe for a break. My husband thought she would be ok today and naturally I am here. I just really wanted to be with her one on one. Yesterday turned into a late night and I didn't sleep well because my brain kept going over her fall again and again. I felt horrible last night

Just wondering how many of you would have closed?

I would have closed. I have wonderful families tho and I know they all have back up.

I would have stayed open, but let the parents know that it would nothing more than a basic needs met day. No activities, no art projects etc... Food, diapers and then off to play.....as my daughter would be getting the majority of the attention. Anyone who didn't like that, could keep their child home for the day.

Meeko, that's exactly what I've done today. My little princess is such a strong little girl, but mommy is just torn up over this. None of my own angels has ever been seriously injured. I really think I need to bring out the bubble wrap now!
