    Thoughs on This?

DCM of PT DCbaby texted me a bit ago saying that her co-worker looking for daycare could she give her my info. I said sure thing!

I am not sure of the age of the child or childcare needs as of yet but I am willing to speak to her and see if it would be a good fit. But, I was also thinking hmmmm maybe I shouldn't enroll a coworker of current DCM. I was just thinking a. bout all the things that could go wrong. Like if one of them does something that would cause me to term and then the other leaves too.

Do you have kiddos whose parents work together?

The majority of my new families are referrals, so I do have parents that work together. I have NEVER had a problem with it. BUT, I could see how BAD it would be if I had to term a family that works together.

Thanks for the response! My opinion is that DCM wouldn't refer someone that she didn't want her DD around. And its a huge compliment that she did refer me!!

But of course in the back of my mind I fear the worst.

Between all 12 of my families in regards to their mothers, there are only 3 places of employment...LOL!

I have never had an issue with it, although I can see how it could be an issue. I make VERY clear to all my families during interviews that each contract/agreement/relationship I have with them is very unique, individual and private.

I have never had anyone be so petty as to leave my care because their co-worker/friends left. I can see how that could possibly happen but I guess looking at it from the optimists point of view, if they are that shallow, I wouldn't really want them anyways.

I'd interview them and if it went well (in addition to POSSIBLY inquiring more about them from the family currently enrolled in your program), I'd accept them.

But, I live on the dangerous side.

I don't like my diffrent groups of friends mingling and likewise, I don't like my daycare parents mingling. They all say hello to eachother - but being friends or coworkers could potentially cause issues for me so I don't do it.
