I think I heard something about being able to clean and sanitize toys in the dishwasher....I think it was at a child first aid class I just took at my church. My question is, does anyone here ever do that? If so, do you put the toys (like duplo legos, toy plastic dishes) in some kind of bag so they don't fall through the openings in the dishwasher? Like a lingerie bag? Can you only put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher?

I wish I could run them all thru the dishwasher because I like the superhot clean but the only things I have that don't draw water are the duplos, primo blocks, and a few of the all in one plastic ****ky toys for the babies.
I do them on the top shelf if they are small and the bigger bricks go in the bottom.- Flag

Thanks for the info! I have my first load of plastic dishes in the top rack with the smaller utensils and lids in a lingerie bag.Next up are all the plastic duplo legos and the Fisher Price Little People.

*Warning*
Do not use the heat dry on plastics. You can use the "sanitize" mode though as that's just super hot water.
We actually have a commercial dishwasher that we use. (It's done in 3-5minutes!) It sanitizes but we have to air or hand dry the toys. bluh!- Flag
